Almighty and everlasting God
mercifully look upon our infirmities
and in all our dangers and necessities
stretch forth Thy right hand
to help and defend us
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dio onnipotente ed eterno
guarda misericordioso alle nostre infermità
e in tutti i nostri pericoli e necessità
tendi avanti la tua mano destra
per aiutarci e difenderci
per Gesù Cristo nostro Signore.

Behold, o God our defender

Behold, o God our defender
and look upon the face of thine anointed
Great prosperity givest thou unto thy king
and will shew loving kindness
unto thine anointed for evermore.
The adversaries of the Lord
shall be broken to pieces.
Out of heaven shall he thunder upon them,
but he shall give strength unto his king
and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Osserva, o Dio nostro difensore
e guarda al volto del tuo prescelto.
Grande prosperità dai tu al tuo re
e mostrerai amorevole favore
al tuo prescelto per sempre.
Gli avversari del Signore
saranno ridotti in pezzi.
Dal cielo egli tuonerà su di essi,
ma egli darà forza al suo re
ed esalterà il corno del suo prescelto.

Hide not thy thou face

Hide not thou thy face from us, o Lord
And cast not off thy servant in thy displeasure;
For we confess our sins unto thee
And hide not our unrighteousness.
For thy mercy's sake deliver us from all our sins.

Non nasconderci il tuo volto, o Dio
E non mandare via il tuo servo nel tuo scontento;
Poiché confessiamo a te i nostri peccati
E non nascondiamo la nostra iniquità.
Per il bene della tua misericordia, liberaci da tutti i peccati.

I heard a voice

I heard a voice from heaven, saying unto me:
Write;
From henceforth blessed are the dead
which die in the Lord:
ev'n so saith the Spirit;
for they rest from their labours.

Ho sentito una voce dal cielo, che mi diceva:
Scrivi;
D'ora in avanti beati sono i morti
che muoiono nel Signore:
proprio così dice lo Spirito;
perché si riposeranno dalle loro fatiche.

If ye love me, keep my commandments
and I will pray the Father
and he shall give you another comforter;
that he may bide with you forever
e'en the spirit of truth.

Se mi amate, seguite i miei comandamenti
e io pregherò il Padre
ed egli vi darà un altro consolatore;
che egli rimanga con voi per sempre
insieme allo spirito della verità.

into thy presence as incense.
Let the lifting of my hands
be as an evening sacrifice.

Fa' che la mia preghiera salga
alla tua presenza come incenso.
Fa' che il levarsi delle mie mani
sia come un sacrificio della sera.

Let thy hand be strengthened

Let thy hand be strengthen'd
and thy right hand be exalted.
Let justice and judgment
be the preparation of thy seat.
Let mercy and truth
go before thy face.

Che la tua mano sia rafforzata
e la tua mano destra esaltata.
Che giustizia e giudizio
siano la preparazione al tuo seggio.
Che misericordia e verità
siano davanti al tuo viso.

Signore, per il bene della tua tenera misericordia
Non metterci in conto i nostri peccati
Ma dimentica ciò che è passato
E dacci la grazia di rimediare alle nostre vite peccaminose.
Di abbandonare il peccato e tendere alla virtù
Affinché possiamo camminare con un cuore perfetto
Davanti a te ora e per sempre.

Purge me, o Lord

Purge me, o Lord, from all my sin
and save thou me by faith from ill,
that I may rest and dwell with thee
upon thy holy blessed hill.
And that done, grant that with true heart
I may without hypocrisy affirm the truth,
detract no man,
but do all things with equity.

Purificami o Signore, di tutti i miei peccati
e salvami con la fede dal male
che io possa riposare e vivere con te
sulla tua santa collina benedetta.
E fatto ciò, concedi che con cuore sincero
io possa senza ipocrisia affermare la verità,
non essere ingiusto con alcuno,
ma fare tutto con equità.

Verily, verily I say unto you

Verily, verily I say unto you
Except ye eat the flesh of the son of man
And drink his blood, ye have not life in you.
Whoso eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood
Hath eternal life and I will raise him up at the last day.
For my flesh is meat indeed
And my blood is drink indeed.
He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood
Dwelleth in me, and I in him.

In verità, in verità vi dico
Se non mangiate la carne del figlio dell'uomo
E non bevete il suo sangue, non ci sarà vita in voi.
Chi mangia la mia carne e beve il mio sangue
Avrà la vita eterna e io lo innalzerò nell'ultimo giorno.
Poiché il mio corpo è davvero carne
E il mio sangue è davvero bevanda.
Chi mangia la mia carne e beve il mio sangue
Vive in me, e io in lui.
